Mobility is an integral component of improving and maintaining your fitness

We all need more than the obligatory shoulder and hamstring stretches before heading out the door for a run. Research actually shows stretching and mobility work is even more beneficial after the workout. Furthermore, the demand we place on our bodies, inside or outside the gym, requires us to care for it holistically. Nutrition, mobility, sleep, exercise; it is all connected. It is for this reason CrossFit Modig emphasizes the importance of mobility work inside AND outside of the gym.

At CrossFit Modig our warm-up focuses on getting the body warm and mobilizing target areas of the body that will be used during the WOD. We also encourage those same stretches as a post WOD mobility cool down. Additionally, during our Thursday Open Gym workouts and CrossFit Unloaded classes, we incorporate a portion of the daily ROMWOD (Range of Motion Workout of the Day) program into class time.
